Awards & Grants

ESCMID offers abstract submitters for ECCMID 2021 the following grants and awards:

ECCMID Travel Grants

ESCMID offers over 100 young scientists who submit an abstract an ECCMID Travel Grant covering full registration to the congress and a travel allowance of EUR 500. The application for ECCMID 2021 Travel Grants will open on the 11th January 2021 and will close on the 24th February 2021.

More information can be found on the ESCMID website.

ECCMID 2021 Programme Book Grants initiative - Paying it forward

As for ECCMID 2019 the printed Programme Book will only be available for ECCMID attendees willing to pay a € 20 donation. As usual, the ECCMID programme will be freely available on the ECCMID webpage in PDF format, as well as within the ECCMID app.

The revenues from this initiative will be used to directly support attendees who would otherwise not be able to attend the congress. These grants are awarded on a balance of criteria including age, ESCMID membership status, and country of origin. The grants will be used to cover the costs of travel, registration and accommodation for the recipients. We expect to reduce the total tonnage of paper and colour printing, at the same time offering more grants for those colleagues in need. This year we only have 1000 Paper Final Programmes, we therefore recommend to add your paper programme directly when registering.

Applications for the 2021 Programme Book Grants will open in December 2020
