ESCMID offers 100 young scientists who submit an abstract an ECCMID Travel Grant covering full registration to the congress and a travel allowance of EUR 500. The application for ECCMID 2022 travel grants is available within the abstract submission process, which will open on the 18. October 2021 and end on the 24th of November 2021. More information can be found on the ESCMID website.
As in previous years, ECCMID attendees are given the option to pay a € 20 donation upon registration.
The revenues from this initiative will be used to directly support attendees who would otherwise not be able to attend the congress.
The grant covers the following for grantees: travel, accommodation, up to 5 night (depending on the origin of the grantee) and the ECCMID 2022 registration fee. It can also be used for solely online participation as well covering the full registration cost for grantees that do not have the ability to travel.
These grants are awarded on a balance of criteria including age, ESCMID membership status, and country of origin.
Applications for this grant will open in January 2022.
The ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award 2022 recognizes an outstanding sepsis abstract submitted to the 32nd ECCMID 2022.
Abstracts from the regular abstract submission will be considered for this award.
All abstract submitters in the sepsis field are eligible for this USD 500 award, granted that they have ticked the box during submission indicating their candidature. ISF will review these sepsis-related abstracts and select a winner. More information can be found on the ESCMID website
